The Christian life is meant to be lived and shared in community. That's why Nativity seeks to facilitate opportunities for you and your spouse/family to build relationships with other parishioners through regular and special events. We cordially invite you to these two regular events especially:
Weekly Family Holy Hour - every Wednesday at 6:00pm. Join other families in prayer and fellowship through a Eucharistic Adoration Holy Hour with soft background music to make you and your children feel comfortable. Stay for the whole hour, or for as long or little as you're able. Following the Holy Hour is an informal social with snacks for the kids.
Monthly Date Nights - every 4th Sunday of the month at 5:30pm. One never stops growing and learning in marriage. Nativity's Date Nights are meant to provide ongoing formation and conversation for married and engaged couples of all ages. The evening begins with a free dinner at 5:30, followed by a speaker or presentation designed to challenge you and your spouse in some aspect of marital growth. Childcare is usually available, so please check the relevant bulletins for details.

Seeking to bring life into the world can be the happiest and most heartbreaking challenges of a marriage. The Catholic Church promotes life-centered, natural approaches to fertility called Natural Family Planning or Fertility Awareness Based Methods that use biological markers to determine the window in which a woman is fertile and when that window is closed. NFP, when used properly, is used to both acheive and avoid pregnancy and can often help trained physicians recognize medical problems getting in the way of fertility and healthy living. Below are resources to assist families who have experienced a life-limiting prenatal diagnosis, miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN YOUR LOSS. We would consider it an honor if you allowed us to pray with you following your loss. Contact the parish office (563-582-1839 or the "Contact Us" link above) and they will have Fr. Andy contact you to pray the Rite of Blessing of Parents after Miscarriage with you. The link below includes resources to help you process your loss and practical advice for what to do next.
